Ahmad, you should have asked him why is he running a smear campaign about me and my family, and why he and JJC are lying about my work and Katherine Watt's work. Mark is a proven liar. This is a tactic these liars use - "how did X come on the scene?" "why does he have all these guests?" "why such a well produced show"? - pretend to ask questions about your background, constantly insinuating that there is something suspicious.
Hey Sasha I honestly wasn't aware Mark was running a smear campaign against you. If I did I would have asked him. I now understand that Mark works closely with JJ, and JJ has accused me of strange things too. He messaged me not so long ago that people who surround him were whispering bad things about me. JJ has stopped contact with me. I honestly don't have time for this anymore. Mark recently contacted me and said it's strange that as a surgeon I wasn't covering a certain topic. I told him to stop telling me what to cover and not to. It's just weird.
He used these tactics against Ahmad one time! He just could not believe Ahmad’s quality and number of guests. It’s a half assed ad hominem, not a good tactic.
He and his friend JJC has been using these tactics and many lies and smears about me for approx a year now. JJC went on Ahmad's podcast and then immediately started badmouthing him. The best way is to stay away from these liars.
If your research were as targeted and sharp as your barbs it might be worth listening to you. For me the stream you did about a family member in upstate NY hospital had more wild speculation than leaked intel report and more holes than Swiss cheese. It's easier to BS general audiences than someone who came from the belly of the beast and knows what lines of organizational reporting exist both on paper and behind the scenes. You my dear fall somewhere between meddler and grifter and best I can tell fro0m casual observation a liability to your side kick who seems genuine.
It's research when you ask question about sources and smear when it questions you. My research career goes back to Watergate era Washington and uncovering liars and fraud a best sport. Jay and Mark are among the most ethically motivated and meticulous researchers to cross my path in a long time. In fact Mark was on my radar before Covid and following Jay before he and Mark were friends.
You have not distinguished yourself as much more than a good marketer. Grow up.
"Social Media Influencer"... Sounds like a title one would apply to someone who has something to sell... like an agenda... perhaps linked to an idea or a philosophy. Regardless of what the product is... the moniker smacks of disingenuous intentions and hypocrisy... just the underlying impression that I was left with.
exactly, I found the conversation really awkward from that point. I haven't uploaded this on my website or spotify/apple podcast channels. I also felt what Mark said could have been said in 10 mins but he dragged it out over an hour.
It is easy to be mislead by disingenuous people in these times. Mark is an incredible researcher, with an incredible heart. Sasha is a meddler. Funny how she happened to catch his interview with you....and she seems to follow Mark and JJ. Ever wonder why she would bother? Mark has spoken about her and her daughter's earlier connections, all of whidch are true. I was "Scoobied" by Sasha early on, but I do appreciate that you aired Mark's interview.. Thank you. There is a reason that Mark and JJ are being targeted right now. The truth will come out. Follow your heart.
I get the impression that people really like immediate answers to everything and instant emotional satisfaction. There is nothing wrong about thinking about what one is really doing. It was terrible to see Doc Malik getting annoyed about the considerations about what to call what is Mark doing publicly on his channels. A clear understanding does not hurt. By the way, I listened to some presentations of JJC and Mark, and they are as sloppy as everyone I know of when it comes to judging the work of others. Picking some things and then commenting on is not a thorough engagement in their work.
What is most important about JJC and Marks work is that they are asking about 2020. After the onset of the monstrosities of 2021 and onwards, 2020 seems to get forgotten, even though it must not be forgotten.
The most important questions for januars 2020 would be: Who found the "novel coronavirus" and how? Why no one knows the name of the guy or gal who first found the "novel coronavirus"? Who defined that this "novel coronavirus" is novel, by which criteria?
Ye Gods, I have seldom been more bored by (and suspicious of) one of your guests!
His knowledge about the history of opioid addiction was very weak and his insistence upon using that trope "social media influencer" was demeaning. I always examine body language and could not help but observe that Mark flicked his eyes to the left constantly. This indicates a false narrative, mentally recalled from a script.
Opioid addiction has a very dirty and revealing history which Mark might benefit from knowing more about - I wrote about it here:
In addition to body language and the weird insistence on ‘influencer’, I found his responses often started with an off topic comment. Rather than make the most impactful statements up front, he seemed to wander around and then get to answering. I would also agree that some comments seemed to lack detail. A very weird interview overall.
I have noticed that about Neil Oliver too and can only surmise that he has pre-written his monologues. He is very careful to maintain a position which does not draw the attention of censorship. Quite a difficult line to find in today's cancel culture!
If you would like to learn more about the sales methods that the Sackler family employed then I would definitely recommend Empire of Pain by Patrick Radden Keefe. Purdue Pharma perfected its hideously effective sales methods by employing doctors as sales reps. Doctors apparently only listen to other doctors. Arthur Sackler was a master drug pusher, he provided all the advice to effectively market Librium and Valium. Empire of pain is a really well written, accurate and incredibly well researched and referenced work, so I urge anyone wishing to get a deeper comprehension of the harm caused by the Sackler family to read Patrick's book. Ahmad, you did a really good job of interviewing Mark, the poor man obviously has a lot of grief and pain on his shoulders.
So glad you are sharing this interview with us. I think Mark is doing incredible work and has an extensive repertoire of sited information on his show Housatonic Live. Not just the opioid crisis but the history of vaccines, the current shit show and so much more. He’s a smart, smart man (I discovered Jessica Hockett through him another smart cookie)
You keep proving to me what a thorough investigator you are Doc. I greatly appreciate you.
Shit man I commented without even having listened to the interview. I really do like his show because does such good historic investigating and connecting dots but this interview was a train wreck. The opioid epidemic is definitely something that needs to be covered but it’s almost as if the loss of his son is blurring his vision. I can’t imagine the pain he goes through on a daily basis. Regardless, I still think it’s good of you to play the interview.
Mathew Crawford has one T the author has two. I was part of Crawford's Operation Uplift research team from the earliest days of his Substack and contributed greatly to his Campfire Wiki project that has since languished. Mathew has a great many talents but lost his way. Especially w respect to the military database episodes there is a great deal of well earned criticism.
I remember during 2020 first lockdown, that the opioid crisis was declared an epidemic. I shared it on Facebook and was given a slap on the wrist by it. I forget what the reason given was. Something like "unhelpful" ?
Having seen the comments I don't think I'll bother watching but thank you for the effort. I admire Mark Kulacz for what he's trying to do and I owe JJC a huge debt for the biology he's taught me but it seems their anger and frustration about the lack of recognition and support for their work gets the better of them at times. My advice to you and Sasha is to follow Charles Kovess's advice and "choose to be happy" despite the problems of jealousy and bitterness from such people. No one is perfect and no one is above biases and value judgements based on your personal experiences but what matters is the substance of your presentations and the evidence behind them. For instance Heather Heying's latest substack is a really good read despite many questions about just where she and her husband's true loyalties lie
Hi Rachel, awesome comment. I think you are spot on that they are just angry and frustrated. But living in negativity only draws darkness. I went through a dark spot in Dec and Jan, but I am in a really good place. I have accepted what has happened to me and embraced it. I have so much love in my life that the cup is overflowing and all I want to do is share that love.
Yes. Dealing with our anger and frustration with what's going on is really hard. I feel sad that talented people like JJC are so eaten up by it. Sometimes having a rant helps but too much just kills the soul and is very demeaning, especially when you lash out at others who are asking questions but not as you would like. Like many, I no longer have meaningful conversations with most of my friends and family but I've discovered a new way of living and thinking that is much more challenging, satisfying and hopeful.
The guy was an ineffective communicator, offered no interesting information, and had a weird personality. This may be a "mission" for him, but he doesn't seem to offer any information beyond what I can hear on Joe Rogan, and doesn't seem all that insightful. Had to shut it off before the end.
Ahmad, you should have asked him why is he running a smear campaign about me and my family, and why he and JJC are lying about my work and Katherine Watt's work. Mark is a proven liar. Hey Ahmad, you think Flint Dibble and JJC are cut from the same cloth?
Who is flint dibble?
The archaeologist on Joe Rogan with Graham Hancock
He used these tactics against Ahmad one time! He just could not believe Ahmad’s quality and number of guests. It’s a half assed ad hominem, not a good tactic.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt once, not again.
He and his friend JJC has been using these tactics and many lies and smears about me for approx a year now. JJC went on Ahmad's podcast and then immediately started badmouthing him. The best way is to stay away from these liars.
I will be staying away. The latest accusation was that I put JJ podcast behind a paywall, when in fact it isn't. I mean seriously?
Your posts are paywalled and the interview was not free for all because I was a free subscriber and couldn't watch it. Now I'm paid to comment.

Yup it was just weird
I questioned why Neil Oliver always flicks his eyes up and to the left. Does it really mean that? I always liked his talks!
I have noticed that about Neil Oliver too and can only surmise that he has pre-written his monologues. He is very careful to maintain a position which does not draw the attention of censorship. Quite a difficult line to find in today's cancel culture!
The movie “The Pharmacist” was about this.
Great movie

Yes, but he needs to stop attacking other people. He has attacked me, Sasha Latypova and Matthew Crawford. And who knows who else? It's not cool.
:(

Apparently it's not his biological son but his stepson. Also I have been told there are multiple.parents (don't ask). All.a bit weird.
Awww man....

Oooh I don't know
