If you go to the Podcasts tab of the Substack, there is an auto-transcript available to read.
Ahmad, I have only recently noticed the above feature. Maybe it is worth alerting other listeners? Some people, especially those like James who read fast, are much more inclined to read than listen.
Doc M, I love you and your work, but I find your focus on making an income from this Stack (while apologizing for it) interferes with that work. The entire world is being put in this economic pressure cooker intentionally by the same cabal orchestrating the rest of the antihuman agenda. You are not the only one facing the crunch and needing to / choosing to change careers (for the time being at any rate) or having to adjust to a big loss of income. I too lost my job last year, which was pt to begin with. I do not own a house. I cannot buy fancy podcasting gear. To me, you are wealthy and are making a great living doing something new very well. So perhaps allow yourself some shift in perspective on all you do have. You can put everything under a paywall if that will help you honor your own work.
It's also a time when we regular people need to invent the new systems we need, including imo our financial system. That process likely needs enough of us to face down the brokenness of the current system, or at least tackle our programmed beliefs about the current system and where money comes from and what it means to us. I'm in the middle of doing that work myself.
I keep saying the same thing to you. Have the confidence to make everything free. You won't lose paying subscribers, you will gain loads. I am gaining more payers every day and I never use paywalls. Try it for a month.... see for yourself.
There will always be churn - no matter how good your product.
There is SO MUCH good stuff on substack I find it impossible to read even a fraction of it - so if your subscribers are maintaining interaction and your overall numbers are steady or climbing - you're doing well.
I think your pricing is fair - better to have a decent audience who can spread the word than price yourself out of the market.
...gotta say tho - the paywalled stuff I've listened to recently has been fab!
I've finally come to the realization that people don't like me. If I had friends, especially friends who valued my input, I'd be wallpapering their email inboxes with posts from you, Doc. You have so much to say that is so valuable and so many of your guests are unique and have amazing things to share! I just don't have anyone to share with. If I were to send your channel to "friends and family", your channel would be promptly black-listed so I'm doing my part and keeping you a secret all to myself. You're welcome. lol I will have to work on increasing my support again instead. <3 Love you, Doc!
I wish I knew how to help doc. I am also bleeding paid subscribers and working multiple jobs to keep the lights on - the economy is really bad.
Can you provide transcripts reading is a nice alternative for those who read fast

Funny that Apparently Neil Oliver has the same challenge on youtube.
Hmm.

Just chiming in to let you know I hardly ever read or share your posts since the warning and all the other stuff was added.
