Thank you. What an inspirating interview! I've been making tinctures from my favourite herbs - rosemary, sage, thyme and lavender - and enjoying using them. Now I'm determined to get into the weeds, making ointments and so on!
Fantastic episode, Doc! I've two clumps of Achillea (yarrow) growing in my garden as it's such an incredible herb. I didn't know about the daisies though. Love Barbara, thank you so much x
Thanks both for the discussion. The last part re equisetum/horsetail (which grows relentlessly in our garden) reminds me of this post from Chris Exley:
Was interested to hear, Doc Malik, that you had tried DMSO for your neck injuries and wondered whether you found it effective.
When I tried using some for some deep tissue issues I was temporarily banned from the conjugal bed because of the odour the DMSO caused me to give off (this is apparently a common side-effect). I would dearly like to continue using it but don't dare to until I can find a solution to the odour problem.
Funnily enough my Mrs was bitten by a horsefly while walking with a friend the other week. She grabbed a plantain leaf, chewed it a bit and stuck it on the bite. It stopped the pain and swelling instantly. Her friend was speechless.🤣
Wow, I got so much out of that, the little snippet at the end about mare's tail was very interesting, there is lots on my allotment (and others on the site) and there I was regarding it as a 100% pest.
I shall also look into the greater celadine as a way of removing a small seborrheic wart I have on my cheek.
Going to have to listen again.
PS The spotify version has about an hour's bblank video at the end.

Packed with so many simple remedies! I love herbal medicine, especially when it is delivered to me by nature herself.
